Legend of Zelda Theme - Acapella & Violin by Diwa

diwa

I’ve always known Master Diwa was a talented musician. I’ve watched him several times play already and one of the most memorable performances was a surprise number he did for me during my surprise birthday party two years ago (after my recovery from the gunshot). Anyway, I had no idea that he could come up with something like this! LOL! It’s really good, mind you. I think Diwa will go a long way and might have a chance of going international if he keeps up fortifying his brand of music online. Watch the video after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Street Fighter Legend of Chun Li Movie Poster

normal_SF-Smaller

Design is okay, but I really don’t like the cast. Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li is still a bit acceptable but having Bison look like a corporate executive? Nah, really doesn’t work for me.

Looking back at 2008 (Part 1 out of 4)

Happy New Year everyone! Today’s the first Monday of the year and well… everyone is probably back to work or to school. I’d like to kick off 2009 by taking a look at the major events and activities that happened in 2008 which I covered through this blog. This is something that I got from GM Tristan who also did a recap of 2008 in his blog. However, I don’t think I have the patience and the willpower to write the entire thing yet since I did a lot of posts for 2008, haha! I’ll divide this into 3-4 posts.

For today, I’ll be talking about the major highlights of the first quarter - January, February, and March of 2008. Read about Ragnarok, Ragnarok Online 2, Cosplay, and Gadgets after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »

Happy New Year Everyone!

I know it’s a bit late but let me greet all of you a Happy New Year! Sorry I haven’t been posting lately. Been very busy attending family reunions and get-togethers with old friends. This year I have a bunch of people flying back from the US, Canada, and Bohol so I have to stop gaming, blogging, and all the usual stuff that I do to be able to hang out with them since they’re only here for a few days or weeks. Anyway, posting will back tomorrow and I’ll start off with talking about the milestones for last year (2008). You guys also have a lot to look forward to in this blog this coming week because I’ll take time to discuss the new games Level Up is releasing - Rohan, Hello Kitty, and Emil Chronicle. That’s it for now! Cheers everyone! I hope you all still have 10 fingers. :)

ABS CBN Retracts Announcement - Local Twilight will NOT Happen

Well, here’s some good news for all of Twilight fans around the world. ABS-CBN released an official statement denying that they’ve bagged the rights to do the local version of Twilight for television. Apparently, there was a breakdown of communication in their online news division which resulted to wrong information being posted on their site. They’ve already removed the original article and now have an official statement clarifying everything. Read the official statement after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li Official Trailer

Got this latest news bit from Slash Film. 20th Century Fox released the latest trailer for the highly talked about Street Fighter Legend of Chun Li movie. The author of Slash Film describes it as a good trailer but I’d have to disagree. It has a B-Movie feel to it and I’m not impressed with the cast… well except for Kristin Kreuk as Chun Li, haha! Anyway, judge for yourselves. Watch the trailer after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

8.) Sexy No Jutsu! Kakashi
We start off with one of my more popular posts for 2008. This single blog post has garnered more than 40,000 page views this year - making it the third most viewed post in Waukster Online. You can also judge from the comments of the readers that they really liked the picture I posted. Lol. It’s a bit controversial though if the cosplayer in question is actually really a girl. I’ve yet to do my research on that, hahaha!

Shadow Circle Christmas Party 2008

DSC_0134

Other than the Level Up Christmas Party, I also look forward to our get togethers with my former Ragnarok Online guild in Chaos, the Shadow Circle. This year we had another party at Mark’s (Heinz from Steel Wolves) place at Quezon City. We had a lot of new Shadow Circle members over so it was also an EB of sorts for the new peeps. If you’re active in RF Online, World of Warcraft, or Grand Chase, then you might recognize some of the people in the pictures. Read the rest of this entry »

ABS-CBN to Produce Local Twilight Television Series

Okay… now this really caught me completely off-guard. I can’t find the words yet to express what I’m really feeling - you know being a huge fan of the Twilight series and all. But what the hell - OMGWTFBBQ!?!?!??! It looks like we will see Twilight localized since ABS-CBN bought the television rights for the highly acclaimed novel series. Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayo will play Edward and Bella respectively.

rayvershaina

Man oh man they don’t look like anything like Edward or Bella. This is really heart-wrenching. Check out the rest of the cast after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Gamer’s Pulse: Cory Apologizes to Erap

Never have I imagined that something like this would happen in the Philippines. I was surprised to read today’s headline on the Inquirer. Apparently, former President Aquino decided to make a public and personal apology to former President Erap Estrada regarding EDSA II. President Aquino stated that EDSA II was a mistake, and that she was asking for forgiveness from President Estrada. Watch the video below for President Aquino’s exact words.

Take the jump as well to watch former President Estrada’s response to Cory’s apology. Read the rest of this entry »

Level Up Xmas Parteh 2008!

n1077522194_30229361_6326

One thing I look forward to every year is the Level Up Christmas Party! It’s one of the wildest and funnest parties that I go to and I’m really psyched up each time the fourth quarter comes in because people start preparing for it. It’s like an internal company Level Up LIVE, and this year definitely topped last year’s party! I wasn’t able to take pictures though so I’m grabbing some pictures from the Facebook accounts of my fellow employees for this post. Hope I don’t post anything incriminating, hahaha! For this year, we had a theme of Super Heroes and Villains, which explains why there are a lot of people in costumes. Read the rest of this entry »

X-men Wolverine Origins Movie Trailer

wolverinetrailertop-440x190

Here’s the latest again from Hollywood care of my favorite movie blog, Slash Film. 20th Century Fox released the newest trailer to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. I just watched it now and I must say that I’m pretty impressed with how they’ve done it… well based on the trailer anyway. I’m also excited to see what Gambit’s role is in the plot. I was disappointed with the X-Men trilogy movie so I hope 20th Century Fox and Marvel can redeem themselves with Wolverine. Watch the trailer after the jump and let me know what you guys think. South Korea: Bot… and get Jailed IRL?

Botting is one of the most infamous and deplorable issues that has plagued the online gaming industry. This is one of the primary factors that brings down MMORPG’s because it takes away the essence of fair play and disrupts the natural game balance that the developers intended. This was officially recognized by the South Korean government in their recent online game development symposium. Here’s a quick excerpt from the article posted on MMOSITE:

At the symposium, Ryu In-Chun said that bot is a type of product which infringes the copyright of others, and the South Korean government will formulate relevant laws and policies to prevent bots. He also said the government is making an amendment to Game Law. Once it is approved, people can tackle the problem by legal means. In addition, he said if enterprises put forward any good methods to eliminate bots, the government will respond proactively.
